The Root of Suffering is Attachment

by

The best thing you can do is detach. From anything negative that you have going on. When you do this you open up way more freedom than you ever thought. When you detach, you also allow your ego to go with it.

I was attached to so many different areas of my life that were so detrimental to me. Then I came across that quote. “The root of suffering is attachment”- Buddha.

We get attached though. I was so attached to my career with soccer, all I care about what playing, that when I stopped it was the hardest transition. I was attached to a job because it paid me well and gave me something. It wasn’t what I wanted but I stayed in it for way too long which created bad effects later on down the track.

I was attached to my ultimate downfall. Control. That is the biggest one for me to detach from. Control is something that I have struggled with for a long time. People don’t like to be controlled, they don’t like seeing someone in control, the reality is that control can be extremely bad. If you ever met my dad, you would understand. He controlled a lot. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, because we need to have control, it’s about how you use it.

I studied philosophies and spent time learning about stoicism. The main gist of it is this. Focus on what you can control and what you can’t let go. Yes, there is much more involved but if you want to learn more you can go research it.

I had to learn how to detach from that and focus on using it as a tool in situations and scenarios rather than anything else. How, well I control what I CAN CONTROL and I don’t what I can’t. It seems simple, but I can assure you it’s not.

I share this with you because we all have kryptonite, now you know mine. And no, you can’t try and use that against me because I have spent so much time dominating it, bettering it that I use it as my superpower, it actually fuels my level of intensity. Pretty wild right?

If I asked you what is your weakest link? 1, would you even share it, 2, what is it?

I share this with you because I now help people gain control of themselves. I’ve mastered it, so they can too. This is part of my elite program that I help people with. If you are ready to embrace that, CLICK HERE.

It’s Friday, and if you don’t know, that means FULL SEND FRIDAY is in full effect. That means you gotta push yourself hard to finish the week stronger than you started it. That means you gotta do extra because you don’t settle.

Much Love.
